The Down Low Glow’s safety benefit is awesome. Safety research has shown the nearly 70% of all nighttime bicycle-car collisions are directly related to side visibility. And nothing provides better side visibility than the Down Low Glow. The DLG makes a great all-around safety light, but to really achieve the pinnacle in nighttime visibility, simply pair it with a standard front/rear blinky combo.

With two shockproof light tubes, the Dual Tube DLG is our brightest system. It’s great for maximizing visibility and fun. The battery life is about 2.5 hours on a charge.

The mounting system included with the Down Low Glow is fairly universal, fitting all mountain bikes, cruisers, hybrids, road bikes, kids bikes (with wheel size 20” or larger). It doesn’t matter whether you have a Italian racing bike or a fat-tube aluminum mountain bike. The rubber stretch straps and Velcro cinch straps fit different sizes. Kids as young as 10 can often do the installation without assistance from a grownup. The mounting pieces don’t require any tools to install.
