We have designed and built bikes and collaborated with some of the biggest brands on the planet; Levi's, Budweiser, Diesel are amongst some of our clients. We have also designed bikes for high profile fashion houses; Gio Goi and Bench. Gio Goi regularly commission Ridelow to design funky bikes for much of their promotional work, with great success.
Working with such high profile brands and people, Ridelow has brought back the buzz about cycling and have firmly established ourselves as the rock ‘n’ roll brand of the bicycle industry.
Our unconventional methods and radical designs have not always been greeted with open arms by the traditional bicycle industry. We are dragging the bike out of the dark ages and into the 21st century, appealing to a new generation of bicycle lovers whose accent is on style and design alone. Our bikes play just an important a part of their wardrobe as their favourite garment. The Lowriders are a "I wouldn't want to be seen with anything else" kind of statement.
That's why our bikes have become a firm favorite with world renowned celebrities from the world of fashion, sport, film and television. We have designed and supplied bikes to a plethora of high profilers including Kate Moss and Pete Doherty. Kate's bike has a boutique look encompassing a bubble gum pink frame. Kate and Pete gave us a brief of what they wanted their bikes to look like. For Kate, we went for the custom frame with twisted wheels, horns and retro bullet light's. Pete Doherty's chosen bike was in his football team’s colours, QPR. So we came up with a design to fit their brief, they were both thrilled with their new custom lowrider cycles. Pete's bike has 144 spoke super wheels, ape hanger bars, a blue velour banana seat, tear drop mirrors and retro chrome bicycle mirrors. They both loved their lowrider bikes so much they even took them to Glastonbury Festival 07, regardless of the mud. They also requested personal logo's on the bikes which we were told that they are personal pet names for each other.
We have also made Ridelow bikes for the other icons of fashion, David and Victoria Beckham. Victoria opted for our very own brushed chrome Ridelow NYC Chopper whilst David went for the old school classic Low Rider with flat twisted handlebars by Ridelow. Brian Adams, rock star and well respected photographer, has photographed Victoria Beckham on her new Lowrider NYC Chopper. Take a look in the Ridelow gallery, we think she looks stunning and ultra sexy in her turtleneck Strenesse, corset with bustle and mini train Tina XXX, suspender belt Agent Provocateur, gloves Gucci and shoes Cesare Paciotti.
Alongside the Ridelow Collection we also distribute Schwinn Bikes, the original cruising bikes; Pashley Cycles, quintessential English hand built bikes; Electra Cruisers, cruising bikes with a modern twist, Kona, Mezzo and Bianchi.
Ridelow are now collaborating with the biggest names in BMX bikes. We have been appointed agents for the following BMX bikes, parts and accessories manufacturers: Mongoose, Mirraco, GT, Haro, wethepeople, Diamondback, TwoHipBikes, KHEbikes and Raleigh to bring you the highest quality BMX bikes, parts and accessories available online or in our new Manchester City Centre Store where we will have the largest selection of BMX bikes on display in the UK ready for you to ride away including freestyle, race and street BMX.
We have already taken early delivery of 2008 BMX models. Proving to be a huge success are the wethepeople bikes.
The company will continue to grow adding to the Ridelow Collection, expanding the brand and collaborating with like-minded people. We have some exiting new plans for 2008 which include expanding our range of Cruisers and BMX bikes.
